Jung and the Awakened Life, Part 1

This course will use James Hollis’s book, “A Life of Meaning: Exploring our Deepest Questions and Motivations” as an outline for a series of talks and discussions on the awakened life and our Original Self from the perspectives of Carl Jung’s work and Zen practices. Together we will explore debilitating early narratives we’ve inherited and/or created, the difficult and challenging midlife-transition and the place of aging, diminishment and death in our inner journey.

Sensei John Mitsudo Mancuso and Infinite Circle Zen invite you to join in a program of study and hands-on practices that draws on the profound wisdom of each of these paths to healing and wholeness. Acquaintance with Zen practice or Jungian thought is not necessary, though some introduction to both or either would be helpful. There are no prerequisites except the desire to honor your inner journey through dedicated attention, authenticity and compassion.function and how to nurture a vital, wholesome and healing relation to them.

Mitsudo is a Zen Priest and Dharma Holder in the Zen Garland Order. He is the Founder and Coordinator of the Infinite Circle Zen Community

Mitsudo works as a Psychoanalyst and therapist in Fishkill, NY.
